Kids’ Chance of Florida Awards Record $74,000 in Scholarships for 2025-2026 Academic Year  

                               

TAMPA, Fla., August 8, 2025– Kids’ Chance of Florida, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing educational opportunities to the children of Florida workers who have been seriously or fatally injured on the job, proudly announces the award of 20 scholarships totaling $74,000 for the 2025-2026 academic year. This marks the highest number of scholarships and the largest total dollar amount awarded in the organization’s history. 

2025-2026 Scholarship Highlights: 

  • 20 scholarships awarded – a new organizational record. 
  • $74,000 in total scholarships distributed this academic year. 
  • Average scholarship amount: $4,000 per student. 
  • Scholarships support a range of college and vocational programs across Florida.

Since its founding, Kids’ Chance of Florida has worked to reduce financial barriers for students whose lives have been directly impacted by a parent’s catastrophic workplace injury or death. This year’s increase in awarded scholarships and total funding demonstrates the organization’s continued growth and its strong network of donors and partners.
