Illinois Injured Workers’ Benefit Fund Collects Record Amount Of Fines

                               

Chicago, IL  (CompNewsNetwork) - The Illinois Insurance Compliance Division announced it has  collected a record number of fines for the Injured Workers' Benefit Fund (IWBF). With 10 days left in the fiscal year, $1.6 million in fines have been collected so far.  Additionally, since January 1, 2006 the Commission has collected over $3 million in fines.  All of that money will be used to pay benefits to victims of uninsured employers. In order to help assist the Commission in quickly identifying eligible beneficiaries of the fund, we have developed a IWBF Request For Benefits and Affidavit form (http://www.iwcc.il.gov/IC44FORM.doc ), which all individuals claiming eligibility for payments at the end of this fiscal year should immediately fill out and send to:
