Free State Fund Seminar On California OSHA Compliance Tips Scheduled For Fresno August 21

Fresno/San Francisco, CA (CompNewsNetwork) - The California State Compensation Insurance Fund is presenting a four-hour seminar entitled, “Demystify Safety Compliance.” Offered at no charge as part of State Fund's Employer Education Series, this seminar is open to the public. The event's presentations, scheduled for Thursday, August 21, at Ramada University in Fresno California, will feature the following experts and important tips:
Senior Loss Control Consultant Trino Maciel of State Fund will explain the required elements and appendices of an Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).
Attorney at Law Lisa Prince, partner with the law firm of Walter & Prince, will help employers prepare for a Cal/OSHA inspection, navigate the inspection process, and understand the appeal process.
Regional Manager William J. Krycia of Cal/OSHA will clarify the concept behind the targeted "sweeps" of the Economic and Employment Enforcement Coalition (EEEC) and increase employer potential for a citation-free inspection.
The location of this seminar is Ramada University at 324 East Shaw Avenue, Fresno. The presentations are scheduled to run from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with on-site registration and a complimentary continental breakfast beginning at 7:30 a.m. Free parking is available.
Seating is limited, so State Fund encourages early registration. The Fresno seminar is part of a series of educational programs State Fund is holding throughout the state to help employers create safe workplaces. State Fund has the largest safety and health services program among California workers' compensation insurance carriers.
