We're Off and Running! The 2025 DATA Scholar Program is officially underway, and we are energized by the caliber of talent, engagement, and opportunity already unfolding. This summer, we welcomed 24 dynamic students into a high-impact learning experience designed to build bridges into the insurance and risk management industry. From skill-building and mentorship to professional exposure and career exploration, our students are leaning in and leveling up. Who We Serve: Student Snapshot:T his year's cohort includes representation from 5 states from Florida to NJ and everything in between. 16 college students from 7 institutions 6 high school students, including 2 graduating seniors 3 graduate students |

Mentorship in Action Mentorship is a cornerstone of the DATA experience. Our mentors include leaders and executives from diverse backgrounds across the industry. Their one-on-one engagement is helping to: Provide real-world perspective and support Build confidence and professionalism Create bridges between students and their potential future roles The Mentor Q&A Kickoff on June 4 was an inspiring launch to this part of the journey, and early feedback from students and mentors reflects strong connection and engagement. Curriculum in Progress Between June 9 and July 18, students are working through a robust four-module curriculum that includes: Introduction to Risk Management Introduction to Workers' Compensation Introduction to Claims Handling Careers in the Insurance Industry This self-paced experience is supported through our regular curriculum zoom calls and reinforced through mentor check-ins, reflection, and practical application |
Upcoming: DATA Future Forum at WCI We are excited to gather in person during the WCI Educational Conference in Orlando on Monday, August 18. Scholars will participate in our signature event, the DATA Future Forum. |
