California Insurance Commissioner Poizner Names New Deputy Commissioner Of Enforcement Branch

Sacramento, CA (CompNewsNetwork) - California Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner announced that California Department of Insurance Fraud Division Bureau Chief Rick Plein has been appointed Deputy Commissioner of the Enforcement Branch. Plein will replace retiring Deputy Commissioner Dale Banda.
Rick Plein has more than 19 years of law enforcement experience. He was hired as an investigator for the CDI Fraud Division in 1992. During his career at CDI, Plein has served both Southern and Northern California through a variety of assignments including supervising fraud investigator, chief investigator-Fraud Division Headquarters, chief investigator-Sacramento Regional Office and Bureau Chief-Northern Region.
"Fighting fraud is one of my top priorities, and I am confident that Rick will continue to utilize his impressive skills to put fraud perpetrators behind bars," said Commissioner Poizner. "Rick has dedicated himself to serving the Department of Insurance and the people of California for nearly two decades, and his seasoned expertise will continue to strengthen and enhance our fraud-fighting efforts."
