California Gov. Schwarzenegger Issues Statement on Death of Union Pacific Railroad Police Officer Aaron Garcia

Sacramento, CA (CompNewsNetwork) - California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger released the following statement regarding the death of Union Pacific Railroad Police Officer Aaron Garcia of Imperial, CA:
"Maria and I were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Officer Aaron Garcia. Day after day, Aaron put his life on the line to keep Californians safe, protect our railways and serve his community. Our thoughts and prayers are with Aaron's family, friends and fellow officers as they mourn his loss."
Garcia, 39, died May 7 as the result of a traffic accident that occurred while he was on duty in Riverside County. He is survived by his wife and children.
In honor of Officer Garcia, Capitol flags will be flown at half-staff.
