California DWC To Host Public Meeting On Electronic Adjudication Management System With Other Software Programs

Oakland, CA  (CompNewsNetwork) - The California Division of Workers' Compensation will host a public meeting to discuss the compatibility of the Electronic Adjudication Management System (EAMS) with other case management software programs.

Software vendors and others interested in learning more about EAMS functionality and discussing its potential for compatibility with their specific software should attend the meeting, which will be held:

Wednesday, March 5, 2008
10 a.m. to noon
1515 Clay Street
Training room one, second floor
Oakland, CA 94612

“Many of our workers' compensation community partners have questions about how to make their case management software compatible with EAMS,” said DWC Court Administrator Keven Star. “This meeting is an opportunity for all interested parties to come together.”

This is the first meeting in what is planned to be a series of interactive sessions on the compatibility topic.

Those planning to attend the meeting should RSVP to eams@dir.ca.gov no later than February 29. Please put “software meeting” in the subject line of the RSVP.

EAMS is a computer based system that will simplify and improve the DWC's case management process to more efficiently resolve claims, improve the ability to schedule and manage court calendars, allow files to be shared between multiple users and transform paper files into secure electronic files, reducing the need for physical storage space at local DWC offices and the State Records Center. EAMS will replace the current workers' compensation court technology and supporting infrastructure.
