Arkansas Workers’ Compensation Commission Announces Selection Of New Administrative Judge

                               

Little Rock, AR  (CompNewsNetwork) - The Arkansas Workers’ Compensation Commission announced that Eric Paul Wells, an attorney from Paris, has been appointed an Administrative Law Judge.

The AWCC administers the state’s workers’ compensation laws for employees, employers, medical providers, legal representatives of these groups, and other stakeholders in the workers’ compensation community.

ALJs hold hearings to adjudicate between parties and then write opinions to settle disputes regarding the state workers’ compensation laws, rules, and other related matters.

Wells in 1999 received his Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Finance from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. He received his Masters of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 2000. Wells received his Juris Doctor in 2003 from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Law School.

Since March 2004 he has been the Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for the 15th Judicial District (comprised of Yell, Logan, and Scott counties), as well as County Attorney for Scott County and in private practice with the Tatum Law Firm. He also is currently the City Attorney for Ola. He will begin his duties at the Commission on March 1.
