SC Workers’ Compensation Commission Nuts & Bolts Workshop March 10, 2022 PM Session

The South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission will conduct “Nuts and Bolts “workshop on Thursday March 10, 2022, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the SC Bar Assocation, 950 Taylor Street, Columbia, SC 29201.

The workshop is for individuals responsible for processing, managing, filing and adjudicating claims in the State worker’s compensation system; including claims administrators, adjusters, insurance carriers, legal assistants, paralegals, attorneys and employers.

This workshop will lead you from the initial injury to settlement of the claim. Participants will receive a comprehensive overview of South Carolina’s worker’ compensation system and a detailed explanation of the Commission’s requirements for filing a claim, proper completion of required forms, reporting requirements of the workers’ compensation laws and regulations. This workshop will introduce the basics of the workers’ compensation process.

Commission staff will participate in the presentations and will be available during the workshop to respond to questions.
