Course Objectives:
For the first time in history, five generations are working side by side, each with different leadership, communication and career development styles. Comparing the risks for workplace injury between the older associate and their younger counterparts pose a myriad of difference. While the older associate is statistically less likely to have a workplace injury, their treatment and recovery times are often much longer compared to their younger counterparts. The younger generations are coming to the workplace with new “pre-existing” conditions that may pose additional risk for injury in this generation. Understanding how “tech neck” and “text thumb” are adversely affecting the younger generation. This presentation will compare and contrast the many differences amongst the generations in the workforce today. Discussing treatment options, recovery times, and the psychological differences amongst the generations and how they affect medical and indemnity.

Kevin has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare, encompassing complex injuries and claims management, auto and general liability. He conducts continuing education courses for claims professionals and his artices have appeared in numerous publications.
