Handling Death Claims Under the NC Workers’ Compensation Act

To be covered under the Workers’ Compensation Act in North Carolina, an employee’s death must be related to a compensable injury or disease and be filed within a specific period. Due to the uncommon nature of handling death claims, understanding when such a claim is compensable and who gets what, how much, and when, can be tricky. This presentation will cover the two types of death claims in NC, what expenses must be paid, identification of beneficiaries, and how much each beneficiary receives.

The presenters for this webinar will be Teague Campbell attorneys Kyla Block and Luke West. This course is approved for 1.0 NC Adjuster General CE Credit Hour (home state only).
