CRPS Part 2: Advancing Care for Complex CRPS Cases

Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) is a challenging condition to manage, often complicated by delayed diagnosis, psychosocial barriers, and fragmented care that can hinder rehabilitation and prolong disability. This follow-up webinar builds on foundational CRPS education with a practical, case-based discussion focused on rehabilitation in action.

Presented by experienced rehabilitation and care coordination professionals with hands-on expertise in CRPS management, the session explores how pain-related fear, kinesiophobia, catastrophizing, caregiver dynamics, and workplace challenges impact recovery and how these barriers can be addressed within coordinated treatment plans. Participants will review evidence-based rehabilitation strategies, including graded motor imagery, mirror therapy, and desensitization techniques, with an emphasis on sequencing interventions and progressing patients based on presentation and tolerance.

Through real-world CRPS cases, the discussion highlights key diagnostic decision points, functional assessment, goal setting, and interdisciplinary coordination. Attendees will gain insight into how a coordinated, function-first approach can improve engagement, restore meaningful function, and positively influence recovery trajectories for individuals living with CRPS.
