The Southern Association of Workers’ Compensation Administrators, though disappointed that we will not be “In-Person Together” for our 72nd Annual Convention, will be “Virtually Together” for the first time since 1949 and our plans for a truly unique and fun virtual experience are well under way.

Virtually duplicating the experience that was planned at the OMNI Plantation on Amelia Island will not be easy…but with a little imagination and a few special surprises, we hope to share the educational sessions that provide benefit for all stakeholders and to serve as a reminder of how important it is to remain connected during times that have the potential of reshaping our industry. Stay in touch and check out the convention page for updates as we approach SAWCA’s first virtual convention airing July 29th and 30th.

The SAWCA 2020 Virtual Convention will consist of 4 sessions over two days…approximately 90 minutes in the morning…and 90 minutes in the afternoon providing 6 hours of the very best discussions by state regulators and industry professionals focused on the issues and challenges we are all facing in today’s new environment. During each session the roundtable and panel participants will be available for questions via a live chat room that will be open providing attendees the opportunity to directly interact in real time with the panel members. Feel free to follow up on comments made during the session and to ask other related questions. The agenda for SAWCA’s virtual convention is provided below:
2020 Regulators Roundtable -Moderated By: Honorable Deneise Lott, Senior Administrative Law Judge, Mississippi.
2020 Employers Panel – Moderated By: Mark Walls, Vice President – Communication and Strategic Analysis, Safety National
2020 Carrier/Insurance Panel – Moderated By: K. Max Koonce, Chief Claims Officer, Casualty, Sedgwick Claims Management Services, Inc.
2020 Things That Make Bob Go “Hmm” – Moderated By: Robert H. Wilson, President & CEO, WorkersCompensation.com

Registration for the 2020 SAWCA Virtual Convention will open soon…visit the SAWCA website for additional updates including registration information, panel participants, sponsors and sponsorship opportunities, and a special feature of our virtual experience…the “SAWCA Convention Care Package” which will be provided to all registered attendees.

Moving forward SAWCA will be planning future events allowing a continuation of the national dialogue created by earlier virtual meetings. Stay tuned for further information as we provide critical information and support to both state agencies and industry professionals. Finally, we look forward to the time when we can once again meet “in-person” and enjoy the SAWCA Experience.
