Benefit Delivery Expenses in the New York Workers’ Compensation System

The Workers Compensation Research Institute (WCRI) will host a free 30‑minute webinar on April 9 at 2 p.m. ET to present key findings from its recent report, Benefit Delivery Expenses in the New York Workers’ Compensation System.

“This report updates and builds on our previous work, examining recent trends shaping the cost of delivering medical care and income benefits to injured workers across the state,” said Sebastian Negrusa, vice president of research at WCRI. “We also drill down further on medical cost containment expenses and litigation expenses, examining key components within each of those categories.”

The study answers several important questions about how these costs are evolving, including:

  • How have overall benefit delivery expenses changed over time in New York, including medical cost containment and litigation costs?
  • Which components are driving changes within these categories?
  • What policy changes may have influenced these trends?

The webinar is free, but space is limited to 500 participants. Everyone who registers will receive the slides and a recording afterward.
