72-1006. ATTORNEYSâ€™ FEES. (1) The commission may grant attorneysâ€™ fees to attorneys for representing claimants before the commission. Any attorneyâ€™s fee granted by the commission shall be in addition to compensation awarded the claimant under this chapter.
(2) The commission may regulate the amount of the attorneyâ€™s fee in any claim under this chapter when an attorney is representing a claimant.
(3) In no claim or case may attorney fees in excess of five percent (5%) of the amount paid to a claimant or on his behalf be paid directly or indirectly to a claimantâ€™s attorney.
