TDI-DWC to Host July Training Sessions on Recently Adopted Accident Prevention Services Requirements

Austin, TX (WorkersCompensation.com) - The Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers' Compensation (TDI-DWC) will host rule implementation training sessions for workers' compensation insurance companies in Austin, Dallas, and Houston in July 2013. The sessions will educate workers' compensation insurance company loss control personnel on implementation of the newly adopted 28 Texas Administrative Code Chapter 166 rules that regulate the provision of accident prevention services in Texas.
The Austin session will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at the TDI-DWC's central office, 7551 Metro Center Drive. The Dallas session will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at the University of North Texas at Dallas, 7300 University Hills Blvd., Building 2. Details of the Houston session will be announced at later date. All three events begin at 1 p.m. and end at 5 p.m. There is no charge to attend the training; however pre-registration is required.
This rule implementation training will provide attendees with an understanding of the requirements of the newly adopted accident prevention services administrative rules that become effective on October 1, 2013. Topics to be covered include a general overview of the rules, the DWC Form-109, Accident Prevention Services Annual Report, the inspection process and the DWC Form-105, Accident Prevention Services Worksheet.
