SC Second Injury Fund Closure/Uninsured Employers' Fund Relocation

Columbia, SC (WorkersCompensation.com) - The workers' compensation reforms passed by the General Assembly in 2007 provided, in part, for the closure of the Second Injury Fund on July 1, 2013. The Deputy General Counsel of South Carolina Uninsured Employers' Fund has notified the Commission the effective closing of the Second Injury Fund and relocation of the Uninsured Employers' Fund to the State Accident fund.
