NIOSH Tackles Total Worker Health at 2020 WCRI Conference

Cambridge, MA (WorkersCompensation.com) - The Workers Compensation Research Institute (WCRI) announced today that Dr. L. Casey Chosewood, director and senior medical officer at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), will be presenting at WCRI's 36th Annual Issues & Research Conference, March 5-6, 2020, in Boston, MA.

Dr. Chosewood will discuss the latest strategies to come out of NIOSH's Total Worker Health® Program to decrease the risks workers face and optimize their health opportunities. He will also share NIOSH’s perspective on critical challenges facing the modern workplace.

NIOSH's Total Worker Health® Program supports the development and adoption of ground-breaking research and best practices that sustain and improve worker safety and health through a primary focus on the workplace.

Questions addressed in this session:

  • How does Total Worker Health® integrate worker protection efforts with other policies, programs, and practices that prevent injury and illness to advance worker well-being?
  • How do contingent work, multi-employer worksites, and rapidly changing demographics challenge the modern workplace?
  • What old workplace hazards persist and what new hazards are emerging?

The WCRI conference is a leading workers’ compensation forum. The two-day program highlights the Institute’s latest research findings while drawing upon the diverse perspectives of highly respected workers’ compensation experts and policymakers from across the country. Conference participants will leave with new insights, valuable networking contacts, and a better understanding of key issues in today’s competitive environment.

A discounted, early-bird conference registration rate and a special conference hotel rate are available for a limited time. To learn more or to register, visit https://conference.wcrinet.org/.
