NCIC Discontinues EDI Of FROI Or Supplemental Reports

                               
Raleigh, North Carolina (CompNewsNetwork) - Effective February 1, 2010, the North Carolina Industrial Commission will no longer accept the electronic submission of the first report of injury (Form 19) or supplemental reports (Form 28B). The Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) process will be discontinued until further notice. The North Carolina Industrial Commission is redesigning its information management system, which will include EDI capability at a future date.
 
The Form 19, “Employer's Report of Employee's Injury or Occupational Disease to the Industrial Commission,” and Form 28B, “Report of Employer or Carrier/Administrator of Compensation and Medical Compensation Paid and Notice of Right to Additional Medical Compensation,” may be submitted via U.S. mail to 4335 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, North Carolina 27699.
