May 21 CONN-OSHA Roundtable Event Explores Effective Styles for Getting Out the Message

                               

Wethersfield, CT (WorkersCompensation.com) - – Communication suggestions for employers who feel that their message is getting lost will be offered during a May 21 Breakfast Roundtable Discussion Group meeting sponsored by the Labor Department's Occupational Safety and Health (CONN‐OSHA) division. The 8:15 to 9:45 a.m. event will be held in the agency's Central Office, located at 200 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield.

Guestspeaker Susan Powers, a partner with Sandler Training in Farmington, will offer advice to employersthat need to get out their message – whether it is about products or workplace safety.
 

“Susan helpsindividuals as well as employers achieve their goals, both personal and professional by discovering their communication styles, employing new behavioraltechniques and identifying obstacles that may be preventing them from reaching their desired level ofsuccess,” noted John Able, CONN‐OSHA Occupational Safety Training Specialist and project coordinator. “She has helped to build strong working relationships for countless businesses throughout the Central Connecticut region, and this is especially important when we need to get the word out about safety, quality and productivity.”
