Envision Utah Honors WCF Insurance at 2021 Common Good Awards

Salt Lake City, UT (WorkersCompensation.com) - Utah’s business and community leaders recently came together for Envision Utah’s annual Common Good Awards—a chance to honor people and organizations doing amazing things to make Utah a great place to live, now and in the future. This year, WCF Insurance and Utah Refugee Connection were recognized for their community initiatives. The Envision Utah board and staff, along with Governor Spencer Cox, presented the awards virtually.

"Utah has a great history of welcoming refugees from around the world,” said Governor Cox. “We are grateful for Utah Refugee Connection’s work to continue that tradition—even during a time of restrictions, shortages, and lockdowns.

“We are particularly grateful for the exceptional support and contributions WCF Insurance extended to communities and businesses throughout the state during this COVID-19 pandemic. Your support throughout the pandemic has been nothing short of extraordinary. Congratulations and thank you.”

Each year, Envision Utah hosts the Common Good Awards to connect with the community and educate stakeholders on key issues facing Utah. The event is a luncheon with an interesting keynote—it’s a unique opportunity to get together and honor our community’s shared strengths.

Envision Utah has honored many outstanding individuals, nonprofits, businesses, and associations that make significant contributions to the common good of our state and community. Previous Common Good Award winners include The Utah Women & Leadership Project, Communidades Unidas, Latinos in Action, Larry H Miller, USU Extension and former Governor Gary Herbert, to name a few.
