CT WCC To Host Symposium

Hartford, CT (WorkersCompensation.com) - The Connecticut Workers' Compensation Commission invites you to attend the 2013 Symposium celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the adoption of the Workers' Compensation Act. The Symposium will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cromwell, Connecticut.

The Symposium will consist of educational programs relevant to today's practice and presentations focused on the history and timeline of events shaping the first one hundred years of the Workers' Compensation Act and the Commission. The theme of the Symposium - “Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow” - will be reflected in the programming events throughout the day. Lunch will be provided and a cocktail reception will follow.

All net proceeds from the Symposium will be donated to the Disabled Workers' Scholarship Fund. The Fund has provided assistance to families of injured workers with children seeking a college education and unable to meet the financial obligations of higher education. The program provides a $10,000.00 annual scholarship to college bound children of injured workers.

Donations and sponsorships are currently being accepted. Your generous offer is an opportunity to acknowledge the 100 years of caring for injured workers and to further the opportunity of a college education for children of employees who have been seriously disabled as a result of a work-related injury.
