Amerisure Inducted into the Make-A-Wish® Chris Greicius Society of Hope

Farmington Hills, MI (WorkersCompensation.com) - Amerisure Insurance Company was inducted into the Make-A-Wish® Chris Greicius Society of Hope for its continued giving to the organization. The announcement was made during the Make-A-Wish Indianapolis BIG Wish® Gala held April 17, 2015.

“We are grateful to everyone at Amerisure's Indianapolis Core Service Center (CSC) who has supported the Make-A-Wish mission each year through internal fundraisers and community events,” said Angela McBride, Chief Administrative Officer with Amerisure and President of the Amerisure Charitable Foundation. “Their dedication and tremendous support helps the organization continue to make wishes come true every day.”

Since 2001, Amerisure's Indianapolis CSC and the Amerisure Charitable Foundation has donated more than $200,000 to Make-A-Wish. According to Nancy Springer, Indianapolis CSC Field Marketing and Underwriting Manager with Amerisure, “Not only has the CSC provided financial assistance, but many employees have supported this worthy organization by participating in an annual golf outing, taking part in the Walk For Wishes, and serving as telephone volunteers during the Make-A-Wish Radio-A-Thon. It's a great feeling to be part of a collective group working toward a common goal of raising funds to grant wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions.”

The Make-A-Wish Chris Greicius Society of Hope was named after a seven-year-old boy, who in 1980 received his heartfelt wish to be a police officer for a day. That one wish inspired the founding of Make-A-Wish and launched the wish granting movement that circles the globe today. The Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana chapter has granted more than 13,000 wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions since its inception in 1983.

The Amerisure Charitable Foundation is proud to support organizations committed to improving the quality of life for people of all ages. In 2014, the Amerisure Charitable Foundation supported 24 charitable organizations.

According to McBride, “From the Company's earliest days, we've worked to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people we touch. When Amerisure employees come together, we accomplish more.”
