WorkersCompensation.com’s CompNewsNetwork Selected As A LexisNexis Top 25 Blog

  • 10/28/09
  • compnewsnetwork

We were very pleased this week to learn that the WorkersCompensation.com CompNewsNetwork Area has been selected as one of the “Top 25” Blogs for Workers' Compensation and Workplace Issues for 2009. It is a tremendous honor, and we appreciate the support of the community that earned us this designation. Specifically, we were selected as the “Best Micro Blog” for our use of push technology via the Twitter system. The Lexis page announcing the awards says of our site, “With over 500 followers and 2,200 tweets, WC CompNewsNetwork on Twitter keeps its followers current with national and state news related to workers' compensation, workplace safety, insurance, and employment issues. WorkersCompensation.com has mastered the art of tweeting and push technology for those of us who like receiving small bites of information.”

Our innovative use of Twitter and other social media is the direct work of our Media Director, Sam Cusano, Jr., and he deserves full credit for this achievement. He has done an excellent job of growing this service.

As many of our regular visitors know, we embarked on a major upgrade of our News and Blog area late last year. From the outset we knew we were building something special. What is most unique about our blog is, in addition to our own original content, is that we have developed the ability to republish (with permission of course) several excellent blogs that serve the comp community. In fact, a number of the Lexis “Top 25” Blogs are part of what we proudly feature as our “Workers Comp Blogwire”. There is no other blog like it in the industry, and we want to thank all of those contributors who willingly make their articles and information available to the thousands professionals who visit our site daily.

The Vote For #1:

As a Top 25 Blog, we are eligible to be designated “Top Blog of the Year” by Lexis. While there are many excellent contenders, any one of whom would be an outstanding choice, we would certainly appreciate your support in this effort. We believe we have something unique, and with the aid of all of our generous contributors, an excellent resource for extremely broad and balanced information. Lexis is taking input from the community, and if you are so inclined to vote, we would appreciate your nomination and support!

Thank you for helping us, and for making us the success we are today.
