Company Fined $1.7M for Failing to Provide Rest Breaks
Los Angeles, CA (WorkersCompensation.com) - A $12 million wage theft citation against a Southern California subcontractor includes money for neglecting to give employees rest breaks. The incident left more than 1,000 workers “waiting weeks or months to be paid, only to receive a portion of what they were owed,” according to the state Labor Commissioner’s Office.
