Seattle, WA (WorkersCompensation.com) – An ordinance passed by the Seattle City Council would provide protections for domestic workers regardless of their classifications.
The ordinance called the Domestic Workers’ Bill of Rights, sponsored by Councilwoman Teresa Mosqueda, would create a panel that would work to set industry standards on wages, retirement benefits, training, workers’ compensation, sick leave and other issues.
