Chicago, IL (WorkersCompensation.com) – An Illinois circuit court recently reversed a lower court’s ruling that healthcare providers could charge interest on workers’ compensation bills that are not paid on time by an employer or insurance company.
In fact, the court said, disputes of that sort belong with Illinois’ Workers’ Compensation Commission, and not in the courts.
