Kids Chance of Wisconsin is entering its 5th year of existence. It is dedicated to providing scholarships and educational opportunities to children who have a parent who has been seriously injured or killed on the job. The number of scholarship applications and grants they have been able to make has continued to grow over the years. In their first year, they gave out two scholarships totaling $6000. Last year that amount grew to more than $60,000 in scholarships. These funds make a huge difference to these kids who are pursuing their educational dreams. It is through the support and generosity of a variety of workers' compensation stakeholders that Kids' Chance of Wisconsin has become a success, and it is making a very real impact in the lives of children who have sustained financial hardship due to an injury to a parent.
