Raleigh, NC (WorkersCompensation.com) – The North Carolina Industrial Commission held Full Commission hearings at North Carolina Central University School of Law on Wednesday, September 20, 2017. The workers' compensation hearings were held in the Moot Courtroom and open to both law students and the general public.
Vice Chairman Stith said about the Hearings, “It is a special honor for me to serve as the Chairman alongside my colleagues Chairman Charlton Allen and Commissioner Christopher Loutit during the hearings at North Carolina Central University. As an alumnus of the university I welcome the opportunity to return to campus to highlight the excellent academic programs which contributed to my professional career. The university's motto, ‘Truth and Service' provided a strong foundation for me as a student and throughout my professional career.”
The hearings at North Carolina Central University School of Law were the sixth in the Industrial Commission's Law School outreach initiative. The Commission is dedicated to building relationships with the legal community, and providing opportunities for law students to witness the workers' compensation system at work.
