Sarasota, FL (WorkersCompensation.com) – The first phase of a Workers' Comp Industry Social Media Survey Project has been completed, and organizers are very pleased with the results. The Phase I survey garnered 1,100 responses from individuals representing a wide range of positions and interests in workers' compensation. This was the first of two planned surveys, and the results will in large part be the foundation for properly targeting questions in the next phase.
The project is a collective effort conducted by the WorkCompResearch Division of WorkersCompensation.com, Mark Walls' Work Comp Analysis Group on LinkedIn, Jody G. Thompson Marketing Services, and noted columnist Peter Rousmaniere. This effort is the most in depth social media assessment ever conducted for the workers' compensation industry.
Final results from this survey will not be made available to the public until the completion of the second phase, as the authors wish to avoid skewing any potential future responses with that information. However, Bob Wilson, President & CEO of WorkersCompensation.com, will review some high level information in his blog, “From Bob's Cluttered Desk”, early next week. Wilson indicates he can discuss some data that will not necessarily affect the next survey, and that there are some “surprising results” that this phase revealed.
The more comprehensive second survey will be rolled out in a number of weeks. The final results from both surveys will be officially announced in April at the Mississippi Workers' Compensation Education Conference. Wilson is scheduled to deliver the Keynote Address to that group with a presentation entitled “Social Unrest in the Twittersphere; The Ins, Outs, Ups & Downs of Social Media in Workers' Comp”. The full report will be available online immediately after that event.
