Well after 21 months of waiting I am having the spinal cord stimulator trial Feb 1st. I am scared to death. I already suffered paralysis for 5 days after a sympathetic block!
I think the thought of it not working scares me even more. I think it is my only hope, so I am trying to stay positive.
Any stories , anyone want to share?????

Well, I am not one for telling stories but, if you have any questions or concerns. Feel free to ask. I will do my best to answere.
8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. After going back to school, I received my degree as a mechanical engineer. What can I say, it was the only way I had to beat the system.

Thanks, my implant is for RSD in the right foot. I have not had anything invasive yet, but I had 6 sypathetic nerve blocks, and the last one put me in the hospital for 5 days with paralysis. So to say the least I am very nervous. Crossing my fingers about the trial.

My wife and I both have a SCS implanted. For me the idea was scary but it was not bad at all. Took some time to recover and if you have it implanted I can tell you one of those long whole body pillow is a good thing. I could only lay on my side so much and with this pillow I could kind of lay on my back a little more. Let us know and we will try to help out
