Office of the judges of compensation claims
#1
I am in florida and since I have an Attorney and have filed plenty of PFB I have a case number with the office of the judges of compensation claims. Often I check the web site to see whats going on and just a few minutes ago I check the web site and saw that my case is inactive, what does this mean? I haven't gotten anything for impairment rating or anything. I am at MMI but I wouldn't see why it would be inactive. Can anyone tell me why this is inactive?

if it's like most courts it means a hearing or other services are not scheduled for this case. once a case has met the requirements either party can request that it be scheduled for conferernces or hearings etc.and it becomes active.
the status usually applies to the court file not you or your injury.

........Each state has their own comp system; POST YOUR STATE to get accurate information. Use the search feature to find information from similar questions.
THANKS FOR POSTING.

1171 is correct. If you've filed PFB's but all have been resolved either voluntarily or thru mediation, then there are no outstanding issues. You can see if anything is scheduled by clicking on the "Schedule" tab. All PFBs, Responses to PFBs, Orders etc are under the "Docket" tab.
