Something I learned today..............
White logging on this morning, an ad caught my eye from a grocery store that you can go onto their website, register, pick a close to home store you shop at and then go directly to that store's website. You can click on the weekly sales ad and anything you wish to buy, just click it on and it goes onto a shopping list for you. Then you can go into a "coupon" area which shows all the current coupons being offered by vendors. You can click on any coupon and the item goes onto your grocery list.

And the best part, after you are done with all the sale items, you can click on the "shop by aisle" and click on anything else you want on your shopping list. And I mean anything in the store, and whatever brands they carry. On this particular site, you could even order a full chicken dinner to go. When you are shopping, you have an opportunity to change the quantity of anything you want to purchase.

Ok, I know I already said the best part, but this is great. When you are done shopping, you can review your list and delete or add anything before you save it. Then you print your list AND along with your list, all the coupons that you checked also print. The list is in order by aisle so you don't have to hunt or go back and forth. This was so great!

I gave it a full try today. I took my list and coupons to SaveMart and went aisle by aisle. I found all my items but one and later found out they had run out of that product. The list was great. Everyone at the store was so excited to see me using the online valued feature. The list was large print and had a box by each item so you could check it off as you put it in your basket.

I loved this. It was fun, and made me feel like I accomplished something of value. My total grocery savings today was $58.36. Not too bad for a beginner. I was also happy my husband was home to unload the groceries and help put them away. I was very tired after this, but like I said, I felt good about doing something.

Hope you all can find your favorite grocery store online. I think it is mostly the bigger chains that may do this.

Just wanted to share.

chris, this sounds like a great idea.....here we have walmart super center or harps was either of those on your list? if so would you post the site.....pretty please
........I love cats, I just cant eat a whole one by myself......

Great info Chris
CC...we have one where I shop where you can either shop and pay online and they bag it and you just pick it up or for $10 they will deliver it.
Chris...some of the stores will even do the shopping and have it ready for you before you get there. I do this at Sam's Club, however, I usually do not have them pick out my vegetables. They will accept their own coupons but no other coupons. The thing I will miss most about the commissary is that they accepted what ever coupons I brought in as long as it was in the store even if I didn't buy it. Sometimes I would save as much as 124.00 which was my last saving on buying 500.00 worth of groceries. I tend to think I still live on a farm and will never see a grocery store again so I keep a lot of stuff on hand...that is why so much. but it actually cost me less than 400.00. I am sure going to miss this when I get to Roseburg. Red

Thanks CC, I will checkit out.
Red, OMG $500.00? If I had $500.00 I would take a trip to the casino. LOL I don't spend $50.00 a week for groceries...........Sometimes only $50.00 a month....
How do you only spend $50.00 a month. Do you eat out a lot? When I was cooking for Brandi, I would spend just $300.00 for both families on meat at the commissary where it is much cheaper than in civilian life. I definitely must be doing something wrong... I can spend $50.00 a week on fresh vegetables and fruit a week. Wow..I need to learn your style.

That's good to know CC thank you so much for posting it. I am a coupon shopper when I can afford to shop and the savings sure comes in handy.

Red - around here it's called bologna and cheese, LOL! Very cheap and easy to make until I decide to make a grilled cheese sandwich and then darn if I don't have to cook, LOL. You KNOW I hate to cook Wink
Please click the link below to help provide food for homeless animals. It's free and only takes a second of your time! Thanks Smile

I have only me to cook for, I shop for meat and base my meals around that. Lots of frozen veggies. One meal will last me 2 days and how do you make a little Chilie or soup? I freeze alot of meals to use later. Spaghetti sause, Lasagna. etc. No snack foods, and very little baking, when I bake it also go's into the freezer. Have always watched what I spend. I love to save, and don't eat out often, that is to expensive. Maybe for Pizza now and then and fish frys at our American Legion Hall every few months.

My neighbor and I went to a Farm Market this morning, bought sweet corn and green peppers to freeze and 2 large onions for $.25 each. Believe me it can be done.

Monster I love toasted cheese, and now BLT season. Bologna makes great sandwich spread , ground with pickles and mayo. Egg salad is one of my favorites..
man just give me a bowl of butter beans and fryed corn bread and a sweet oniion and cuks soaked in apple cider vinager oh ya the big glass of tea !!! and im happy, forgot the most important thing - sourkrut and weinners !!!
worry changes nothing prayer changes every thing
