I am located in Mo. I had lawn mower slide off a terrace and into a creek on top of me. I broke my T-11 vertibrae. I had surgery to put two steel rods along my spine. I have been in therapy going on a year. I should be getting released June 8th. My doctor does not think I will be able to return to work. I have numbness from my knees down. I have some back pain. I also have a foot drop which makes my balance a little off. I was just wondering how do they figure a settlement on something like that and are they responsible for retraining.

There are alot of variables that go into figuring out a settlement. Loss of future wages, future medical, ect. ect...
8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. After going back to school, I received my degree as a mechanical engineer. What can I say, it was the only way I had to beat the system.
