I am sitting here at the computer listening to the scanner to keep an ear on the flooding. The weather report calls for rain for the next couple of days.

If we have to leave we will stay with the In-laws in Wichita, although I really don't think it will come to that.

We had a big to do with the weather here over the weekend...NOAH weather scanner going off continually for over 48 hours. But what was predicted to be a major weather event, passed us by as a non-weather event. Had Randy all hyped up as they were predicting heavy winds, large hail and tornadoes. All we got was the wind and not even a drop of rain that is needed here desperately. We are now under a no-outdoor watering restriction as the drought gets worse with each passing day.

Any word on how Peabody Kansas faired with all this weather ? That is where Randy's children and grandson live. And of course, his kids never call unless they want something.

UA Peabody KS is just to the north of me about 30 miles.

I believe they are okay, may of had some flooding Monday in the rural areas.

We haven't been able to get ahold of either of Randy's kids ..can't even get them to return a call. You would think, since the government considers them adults, that they would act as such. But NO !! "We can't be bothered to call and let you know we are okay, even if you are worried. We will call you only when we need something from you. " They are just fine with letting their dad worry about them.
