We had storms up her 2 days ago with hail strong winds and lightning. It caused power outages and a few grass fires, we were 1 of the lucky one's without power. But I love storms as long as nobody gets hurt.

halftrak how is your mother doing today?

My children were saddened this morning, they just knew there would be no school today. Made sure they all got there, not many days of school left this school year.

We now have major flooding in the county. Towanda, KS, 4 miles to the south is experiencing major flooding. This is the town where 2 of my children go to school.

And Augusta, KS is experiencing major flooding; this town is about 20 miles to the south of my home.

My brother-in-law works in law enforcement and the news is there is a crack in the El Dorado Lake dam. This is a state lake and the officials are trying to repair the dam at this time.

I sure hope they do because if the worst happens my family & this area of the county will have to evacuate.
