(WI) Didnt Report Injury Immediately...too late for workers comp?
#1
Hello to everyone!
This is my first time on this site and am desperately looking for information. I have been on this job for only a few months and while pushing a heavy cart on black friday a few weeks ago... I injured my knee a bit. I didn't say anything because it didn't hurt much. But then it started getting worse and I really think I have a problem. My boss noticed me limping a week ago and I explained I had hurt it a few weeks ago... he was angry I didn't report it immediately. Soon after, I had to call into work sick a few days because it hurt so bad and I couldn't put much weight on it. Some days it's ok, other's it's a real pain and hassle. I don't have health insurance and am so worried I'm in big trouble here! Is it too late for me? What advice can you give me??

no it's not too late but benefits could be delayed as they investigate. Give your employer notice in writing that you had a work injury - keep a copy.
you can find more information about wisconsin comp system here

Reminder :
