Still covered ?
#1
I live in Texas,
I was injured about 15 years ago and went through treatment and really never successful on getting rid of the pain.
The pain is so bad now that I can't hardly stand it. T he Dr. I had back then has past and the practice is gone.

How do I get started back with Workers Comp to get treated. I do not have any records on past treatments. Who do I call ?

Thanks Brad

More info needed before I can offer any substantive opinion. However -I like that word-, After initial injury, did you settle and return to work? If you did, then you follow WC for another claim. If you didn't you are going to need some serious legal counsel. Confer with a WC specialist. Also, on the pain side, if Dr. is not dead he still might can provide some assistance, as in forwarding you and a copy of your medical records to a Dr. he trusts and or recommends.
Sorry, that's the best I can offer at this time.
I bow to the senior BTDT's -been there, done that

Brad, If you do not have your claim number and carrier info.. You can start by calling the Office of Injured Employee Counsel. WWW://oiec.state.tx.us
1-866-393-6432 They were formerly known as the TWCC. They added some more services, such as an obudsman service. Changes have taken place with the Texas workers compensation system since you last dealt with it.

In the state of Texas, medical for the injury it's self is cover for life. I know that law was in affect when I got injured. What I don't know is if it was law when you got injured.

Please let me know what happens. For I may be in your position 15 years from now.
8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. After going back to school, I received my degree as a mechanical engineer. What can I say, it was the only way I had to beat the system.
