Do I still get workers comp if I've been laid off?

So is it illegal to lay someone off if theyre on workers comp? And can they file for unemployment while also receiving workers comp?

I found this article and it really got me thinkin

if your employment is covered by FMLA you have 12 weeks of job protection.

If you are temporarily disabled and can’t accept a job offer, you cannot collect unemployment.
