I am in New York and have issues with my attorney. I have workers compensation and personal injury cases with the same law firm and my attorney has consistently not communicated to me nor have they filed appeals in a timely manner. They have attended one hearing and did adequate there and they have done some other work.
I am the person doing most of the legwork that generates any activity and have had to sit by for months waiting for them to file appeals that have simply not been filed. I have had to educate them on 3 occasions and did not hire representation so that I can hold their hand.
I understand that I will have to pay them an hourly fee for the time put in, but is there anything else that I will need to be concerned with.
Thank you for your thoughts.
