If peek cages/spacers have a failure rate 5 times that of using your own bone or cadaver bone in cervical fusions then why in the heck are surgeons using them? It usually has to do with money. Not all fusion procedures are the same and not all implants are the same. Patients should research what is being placed into their body before having any surgery.
