Work comp adjuster changing doctors CA
In terms of changing doctor and WHO chooses the doctor, what's interesting to note is this varies state-to-state. Here is a list of all the states with information about who chooses the doctor: https://workers-compensation-doctors.com...omparison/

I hope that helps.

I go and get a CRPS diagnosis and am promptly told a few days later, right after the doctor wrote the report saying that I am no longer going to see him "because he is too far" and that they have found a doctor closer to home. #1 How is it that it took you 2 years to find a doctor, but could never find anyone except RIGHT after diagnosis" #2 Doesn't that sound weird?
Even if it weren't a location issue, such as where the doctor is, is the adjuster allowed to change treating doctors?

Also, I was supposed to see a different type of surgeon as well, separate from my orthopedic surgeon. It has been authorized from UR 6 months ago. They have someone they could send me to but they say "Its too far" and they clearly can't find anyone closer. Is it legal for them to just sit on it? I thought there were rules and regulations that a patient had to see a doctor within a certain amount of time frame after the referral was written and the UR approved it. At this point we are looking at waiting another year to see this doctor. I mean, literally, is it legal for them to wait years? That's what its going to come to. I thought it was classified as delayed medical care.
This spreadsheet is put out by a marking website as promotional material. A simplistic 1 or 2 lines that purports to summarize many sections of specific workers comp laws cannot be trusted to be accurate.
Are you spamming this board because you are part of their marketing efforts?
Reminder :
........Each state has their own comp system; POST YOUR STATE to get accurate information. Use the search feature to find information from similar questions.
Thank you, 1171. The work comp system is confusing, so the spreadsheet is deliberately "simplified" to make it easier to understand. However, I entirely with you that it's better to drill down into one state for more exact information to then make better decisions regarding a specific case in that state.

For full disclosure, I created the spreadsheet myself and the goal is to be a helpful summary. The goal of the site is to be a helpful resource for people who need work comp doctors - the intention is not to spam.

If the post needs to be edited in anyway to conform with any rules here, I am happy to change it. However, in my opinion it just aims to provide a simple overview of the direction of care state-by-state.
