Cashing out claim and using own health insurance
#1
Is it really that easy? I've heard because of 'collateral source rule,' private insurers HAVE to cover work injuries after the case has settled.

Also, will medicaid cover old work related injuries?

How easy it is probably depends on the health insurer.
Medicaid also has secondary payer requirements.
You should be asking those plans detailed questions about their specific coverage limits.
Reminder :
........Each state has their own comp system; POST YOUR STATE to get accurate information. Use the search feature to find information from similar questions.
THANKS FOR POSTING.
