So I moved to Colorado in late 2016 the first job I had was at a cement plant making stone veneer (Feb-Jul 2017). I personally never had a problem working with cement. Did it as an odd job here and there. It was not tell we were working with this red* mud that the cement actually started to burn. Worked with a hole host of colored mud from white to black literally. It wasn't until I was pouring and finishing about 5 cubic yards a day (about 15-20 yd3 pr day total) five days straight that this red mud started to really bother me. At the time I had 1st-3rd degree cement burns on my finger tips (3rd) back of my hands (1st) palms (2nd). During my time I tried latex gloves under my big rubber gloves with a hair tie (I had 8in long hair) and the only thing I managed to do was accelerate the calcification.
