I received a 48% permanent disability rating for a heart related issue. I am in California. My understanding is that the settlement will be paid out over time.
My question is how many weeks, months or years will the settlement be paid over and how is it decided? I'm assuming there is some sort of formula that determines this.

A stipulated award with open medical .
Generally the DIsability Evaluation Unit sends the calculation along with it’s rating.
The weekly rate depends on the date of injury and your average weekly earnings.
You can find a chart with weeks and amount here
