Qme question
#1
Can the IC reject the qme I choose? The better question should be, what are some reason that the IC can use to reject the one that I choose.

the DWC issues QME panels. either party can object and request another panel; but the decision is the DWCs.
you can review the QME FAQs to learn about reasons for a new panel (or contact the medical unit) e.g. QME no longer practicing, conflict of interest, QME unavailable, etc.

I guess my town is not big enough to have a lot of choices of qme doctor.

I read that link three times and couldn’t find a faq that matches my scenario.

At the beginning of my claim. I went to see a doctor in their network. Although I had a primary, there were times I worked with another if he’s busy. This doctor works in a different office now and is in my panel. There’s another’s that was in thatboffice but I never talked to him or worked with him.

Can I choose one of these?

You can choose any doctor from the panel. Trying to anticipate whether the carrier might object or whether the DWC will decide to issue another panel isnot something you have to predict.
You are adding rules and steps that are not part of the process. Just keep it a simple choice for now and see what happens.
Many doctors have multiple roles: QME, AME, Treating, teaching, consultant, etc. one doesn’t Rule out another.

I apologize if it sounded like I wanted to add or create a new rules. I’m just anticipating so I can be prepare since the last qme suddenly retired and didn’t finish his report.

I didn’t realize how important he was. I’m debating on choosing the one that won’t give the carrier an opportunity to appeal and delay it again.

It’s been so long and I’m sure they seen hundreds of patients so they might not even remember me.

I wonder if there’s a website that review them
