20 % out of every WC check
#1
I have to pay out 20% of every check to my attorney. Wow what a blow that is! Who else has to do that? I understand he needs to get paid, but i thought that would be at the settlement hearing. Hard enough trying to live on the initial amount.

Different states have different atty fee rules; some are harsher then others.
Not every claim results n a settlement.
I wonder if your atty can offer you an alternative like a lump sum from permanent impairment benefits? Might be worth a try.
Reminder :
........Each state has their own comp system; POST YOUR STATE to get accurate information. Use the search feature to find information from similar questions.
