I am a commercial driver and was hit by another commercial driver in 2017. I was diagnosed with 3 bulging disc in my lower back and have had 6 sessions of physical therapy and 2 Epidural Steroid Injections. The Nurse case manager is saying that I am nearing MMI and is calling for permanent work restrictions. I have a few questions.
1. If I am released with permanent restrictions that do not allow me to return to my previous position and salary, what benefits or compensation will I be entitled to. (Anything besides IR?)
2. When I get my impairment rating and get the 3 checks for each percentage of impairment, will I still have lifetime medical coverage for the injuries or will I be forfeiting any benefits?
3. What steps can I take to fight the nearing MMI opinion and to push for more treatment?
4. Mostly all I read about workers comp attorneys are horror stories, does anyone have a good one?
