So, I got a notice of contest today, not work related. My issue is that my injury occurred 6/19/16. I went to the doctor after reporting it. Was told it was tendonits as I work with my hands all day. Went back 2 weeks later. Then to their usual IME, 2 months later. My issue is that I didn't receive a report and never got to go back to the doctor. I don't think I was ever released from light duty. I followed docs orders of wearing the brace and used it as little as possible. I even took a week vacation to help with the recovery, but now they are claiming it's not work related and 5 months after the fact, thoughts?
I am new to this and never thought it would be so difficult.

It,s generally not difficult unless there's a problem.
I suspect they are just following what the IME reported.
Do you think there is something else going on?
If you want to get back on comp, The comp court can decide which doctor,s opinion is more believable.
Each state has a process to appeal any denial of benefits.
If I knew your state, I could give specific information.

Im sure you still have time to file unless this letter gave u a deadline to file. MAKE COPIES AND MAIL ALL CERTIFIED RECEIPT REQUESTED. Some employers can be real S.O.B.\S about this stuff and most know the law when you dont makes it very unfair. Did you get medical care and TTD benefit while under corrective medical care BUGDave3205 Wrote: So, I got a notice of contest today, not work related. My issue is that my injury occurred 6/19/16.
