QME panel received - feeling lost, help!!
#11
Make sure to also review every word in your QME report, and if anything is inaccurate or maybe slightly out of context with what you said, and what is implied, or if maybe the order in which things happened is jumbled a bit but seems fine to you anyway - GET IT CORRECTED IMMEDIATELY!! You will have a certain amount of time (and I don't know how much time is given...like 14 or 30 days maybe??) to submit your corrections or objections once the report comes out - which the report is usually available within 30-35 days of your QME appt.

My panel QME choices were not of the same specialty so I cannot assist with my opinion in that regard. Good luck!

you should also take a written summary of the history of the injury with you as a script to help you give the doctor all the details accurately.
a written summary of your medical history will also allow you to give the doctor more complete information.
Reminder :
........Each state has their own comp system; POST YOUR STATE to get accurate information. Use the search feature to find information from similar questions.
THANKS FOR POSTING.

Great suggestion!

Can written summaries be left in the hands of the QME doctor or can you only use the notes during the QME interview?

If you are going to hire an attorney I recommend doing so now before going to the QME. If you are not planning on hiring an attorney I recommend going down the board your case is located at or call and information and assistance officer to help you write a cover letter and exhibit list to send to the QME (send to claims adjuster at least 20 days in advance).
I am not an attorney.Anything I write should not be considered legal advice.I am writing from my own personal experiences, which is not from any sort of legal background. You should consult with an attorney over legal issues. In California, if you cannot get an attorney you can consult with an I&A officer.
